Weather situation September 27, 2025 (as of 26.09.25)
A low-pressure zone extends from the North Atlantic across Great Britain and Central Europe to the Adriatic Sea and also influences the weather in Istria. A small upper-level low will split off on Sunday and move across the northern Adriatic Sea. The slight low-pressure influence will cause some instability in the air stratification and temporary uplift processes.
What does this mean for the race?
It will probably be dry at the start. There is a slightly increased risk of brief showers in the morning and the risk of showers generally increases in the afternoon.especially in the higher, mountainous sections of the route. Here, it is important to watch out for wet or damp and greasy roads, especially on steep descents and bends. The temperatures barely move. It is already mild at the start with round about 18 degrees. During the day, temperatures are expected to reach 23 degrees in the lower areas and 19 degrees in the mountains. The wind is light to moderate and may pick up briefly during the day if there is sufficient land-sea wind circulation. Wind conditions typical of Istria remain (sea breeze).
How reliable is the prognosis?
The general weather situation is safe. The weather models of the various weather services show slight variations in the shift of low air pressure from Saturday to Sunday, both in terms of time and the exact geographical position relative to Istria.
Attention regarding weather apps/providers!
Not every weather app or weather website has its own weather model. Different weather service providers sometimes use the same or a different weather model. For example, out of ten weather apps from different providers, eight may use the same model and therefore forecast the same weather. The fact that eight out of ten weather apps predict the same weather does not make it any more likely!
